     French Toast Casserole

12 pieces of bread
6 eggs
2 c milk
1/4t nutmeg
1/4t cinnamon
1t vanilla
dash of salt
Maple Syrup Topping
4T melted Butter
1/2c Brown Sugar
1T Maple Syrup

Grease 9x13 pan. Layer bread 2 deep in pan.
Mix remaining ingredients in bowl. Pour over bread. Cover pan and let set in refrigerator overnight
While preheating oven to 350 degrees the next morning,mix maple syrup topping ingredients. Pour over top of casserole.
Cover with foil and bake at 350 for about 60 minutes. Remove foil the last few minutes to allow casserole to turn to golden brown.
