Preheat oven to 450º. Grease a 10 inch skillet (you may use a pie plate instead).

Combine dry ingredients. Using 2 knives or a pastry bender, work cold butter into dry mix until the consistency small peas (may be finer-like coarse cornmeal).

Add egg to milk and mix. Add to flour mixture and toss until dough follows spoon (do not over mix).
|
|
|
Spoon into skillet in large dollops (it's fine if there are small spaces between). Bake about 20 minutes - but check after 15. Test with pasta - done when it comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes, then remover from pan to cool completely.
