     beer braised corned beef with cabbage and carrots

Ingredients
1 tbs oil
4 lb corned beef
2 bottles of beer
4 tbsp spicy brown mustard
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 head green cabbage about 1 1/2 lbs cored and cut into 1 in peices
1 pkg mini carrots
3 tbsp flour
1 tbsp freshly chopped parsly
 

Instructions
in pot heat oil over med heat add beef cook turning once until browned about min per side meawhile combine beer and 2 tbsp mustard when beef is brown add beer mix garlic spice pack from corned beef and enough water to cover bring to a boil reduce heat to med low cover and let simmer 3 hours or until tender
transfer beef to serving platter cover to keep warm transfer about 1 1/2 cups cooking liquid into small pot reserve to the remaining liquid add cabbage and carrots cover and cook over med heat until tender about 15-20 min meanwhile whisk together flour and remaining 2 tbsp mustard into reserved liquid bring to a boil over med heat cook and stir occasionally until thicken 5 min
serve corned beef with cabbage and carrots and sauce to[ with parsley
