1 (1 lb) head cabbage, cored and thinly sliced

Boiling water
|

1 tsp salt
|

1 tsp sugar

2 tbsp butter or margarine
|

1/8 tsp pepper
|

1 to 2 tsp caraway seed

Instructions |

|
In a saucepan combine the cabbage, boiling water, salt, sugar and butter. Cover and bring to a boil again.

Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, just until tender. Drain any remaining liquid. Add pepper and caraway, and serve.
