     Beaujolais Coffee Cake

2 1/4 cups of plain flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of ginger
2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 cup of brown sugar
3/4 cup of caster sugar
3/4 cup of vegetable oil
1 cup of chopped walnuts / pecans
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup buttermilk

In a large bowl add flour, salt, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, ginger, both sugars, vegetable oil.
Remove 3/4 cup of the batter. Add to it the nuts and remaining teaspoon of cinnamon. Mix well, set aside to use as topping.
Add baking soda, baking powder, egg and buttermilk to the remaining ingredients. Mix to combine all ingredients
Pour batter into a well greased 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the surface. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.
