     Rhubarb Cake

1-1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups rhubarb (cut fine)
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
Cream sugar & shortening together. Mix the remaining cake ingredients together. Pour into a greased 9X13 glass cake pan.
In a small bowl, mix remaining brown sugar & cinnamon. Sprinkle this over the top of the cake.
Bake cake for 45 minutes.
