     Swedish Meatballs

Ingredients
5 tblsp. Butter or margarine
3 tblsp. Finely chopped onion
1/2 cup lite cream
1/2 cup packaged bread crumbs
1 1/2 lbs. Ground chuck
1/2 lb ground pork
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp pepper
 
1/4 tsp. Allspice
dash of ground cloves
1/2 cup water
SAUCE- 3 tblsp. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 cup lite cream
dash pepper
1/2 tsp. Bottled gravy seasoning
1 cup water.

Instructions
Make meatballs- 1. In tablespoon of butter, sauté onion 3 mins. or till golden 2. In large bowl, combine cream, 1/2 cup water and bread crumbs. Add onions, ground meats, eggs, salt, pepper, allspice and cloves. Toss lightly, nix well. 3. With a teaspoon, shape into 80 meatballs 3/4 inch in diameter. Sauté in butter, a few at a time.
Make sauce- 1. Remove all but 2 tablespoons of . drippings from saucepan. 2. Stir in flour till smooth. 3. Gradually stir in cream and 1 cup water. 4. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. 5. Add salt, pepper and seasoning. 6. Add meatballs, heat gently 5 minutes until hot. 7. Turn into chafing dish or crock pot to keep warm
Note- May be made ahead and reheated. Meatballs can be browned in broiler if you're in a hurry, or making a large batch. You can substitute non-dairy creamer (Rich's, perx) for cream.
