     Mac and Cheese

Ingredients
2 TBSP butter
1/2 yellow onion, minced
2 TBSP flour
3 cups milk
2 cups shredded extra sharp chedday
salt and pepper
1 lb elbow macaroni, penne, shells
2 oz prosciutto or ham, strips
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
 
1/4 cup grated parmesan

Instructions
preheat to 375. melt butter in saucepan. add onion and cook until soft and translucent (about 3 min). add flour and stir. pour in milk a little bit at a time. use whisk. simmer for 10 min until thickens a bit. stir in cheese and season with salt and pepper
cook pasta. add cheese sauce and ham/prosciutto and stir. pour into large baking dish. top with bread crumbs
bake for 10 min. turn on brioler and broiler until bread crumbs are crispy (about 3 min)
