Combine eggs, butter, buttermilk and vanilla; mix thoroughly. Mix sugar, flour and salt together well and add to first mixture, being careful not to overbeat. Pour into unbaked crust and bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
Reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 35 to 40 minutes more.
