     Bread Pudding II

Ingredients
12 slices day-old bread
4 Tbsps. butter
1 cup raisins (optional)
8 eggs, beaten
4 cups whole milk
1-1/2 cup sugar
2 tsps. cinnamon
2 tsps. vanilla
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Break bread into small pieces into a 9 x 13 baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top springs back when lightly tapped. Serve warm.
