     Ol' No. 7 Yams

Ingredients
4 sweet potaotes
3 C water
1 1/2 C brown sugar
4 tbsp butter
1 in cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/3 C bourbon
I orange peel strip
 
Instructions
Bake sweet potatoes 1 hour until soft to touch in 375 dgree oven.
Combine other ingrediants in a saucepan, bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer, 30-45 min until thick.
Slice sweet potatoes into 1/2 in thick slices and place in casserole. Pour syrup over & bake 30 min at 350 degrees.
