Ingredients
2 c all purpose flour
1/4 c sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
11/4 c margarine or butter
2/3 c dried currants or raising
1 5oz can or 2/3 c evaporated milk
1/egg
sugar for sprinkliing
 

Instructions
Heat over to 400. In a medium bowl, conbine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Blend well
Using a pastry lender or fork, cut in margarine until mixture is crumbly. Stir in raisins. In a small bowl, combine evaporated milk and egg. Add all at once, stirring must until mooistened.
On a well floured surface, gently knead dough 5 or 6 times. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and press into into an 8inch circle, about 1 inch thick. Cut into 8 wedges, do not separate. Sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into wedges.

Serve warm
