     Cranberry Chocolate Nut Pie

Ingredients
3/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup brandy or orange juice
1 reciepe Single -Crust pie pastry, rolled into on 12-inch pastry circle
1/3 cup butter, melted and and cooled
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1/8 tsp, salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
 
2 oz. white baking bars, chopped
1 recipe Sweetened Whipped Cream (optional)

Instructions
In small bowl combine cranberries and brandy. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Drain and reserve 1 tbsp of brandy.
Preheat over to 325 degrees Transfer pastry circle to 9 inch pie plate. Trim pastry to 1/2 inch beyond edge of pie plate. Fold under extra pastry. Crimp edge as desired. Do not prick pastry.
For filling, in medium bowl bowl combine butter, sugar, eggs and salt. Stir in walnuts, flour and white baking bars. Stir in cranberries and reserved 1 tbsp of brandy. Spoon filling into pastry lined pie plate
Bake 65 minutes, loosely covering pie with foil last 30 minutes of baking. Cool on wire rack. Top with Sweetened Whipped Cream
