     Swedish Rye Bread

Ingredients
1 pkg yeast
1/4c warm water
1/4c 1 qt molassis
2tbs shortening
2 1/2c rye flour
3 1/2-4 c flour
1/4c brown sugar
1tbs salt
1 1/2c hot water
 
3tbs caraway seed

Instructions
Soften yeast in warm water. Combine sugar, molassis, salt and shortening. Add hot water, stir in rye flour, beat well, add yeast and caraway seed. Stir in enough flour to make dough. Cover, let raise to double. Place dough in bowl let raise till double, divide in half. Loaves till double. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes
