     Berry Cobbler

Ingredients
1/2 c butter (for melting
1 c sugar
1 c water
1 1/2 c self rising flour
1/3 c milk (room temp)
2 c berries, fresh or frozen
1/2 t cinnamon
2 Tbls sugar
1/2 c butter (for dough)
 

Instructions
Melt butter in 10 in round baking dish, set aside. Heat sugar & water till sugar melts, set aside.
Cobbler dough-----cut butter into flour until it is like fine crumbs. Add milk, xtir with fork until coubh leaves sides of bowl. Turn out onto floured board. Knead 3 or 4 times. Roll out to 11 x 9 x 1/4 in thick.
Spread berries over dough, sprinkle with cinnamon, roll up like jelly roll. Cut into 1 1/4 in thick slice. Place in pan in melted butter. Pour sugar syrup over top.
Bake 350 for 1 hr and 15 min before removing from oven. Sprinkle 2 Tbls sugar over top. Serve with cream or cool whip.
