     Herbed Green Beans

Ingredients
4 lbs. fresh green beans
1 cup butter
2 cups chopped onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chopped celery
2 cups minced parsley
1 tsp. dried rosemary
1 tsp. dried basil
3 tsp. salt (or less)
 

Instructions
Snip ends from beans and cut into shorter lengths. Cook in boiling water, testing regularly until done to your taste. Do NOT overcook. Beans should still have some crunch. Drain beans when tender and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
While beans are cooking, melt butter in medium skillet, add onion, garlic and celery and cook for 5 minutes. Add parsley, rosemary, basil and salt; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour herb sauce over cooked beans. Reheat gently when ready to serve.
