     CORN BREAD

Ingredients
1 egg
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup shortening
2 cups self-rising cornmeal
sugar (optional)
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 450. Grease and heat 9 inch pan or skillet.
Beat egg. add milk and shortening. Stir in cornmeal and sugar. Blend thoroughly.
Pour batter into pan and bake 15-20 min.
