blend flour, baking soda and salt, ahead. In mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla til fluffy. Add flour mixture til blended, then add cereal flakes and mix in choc. chips.
Drop by tablespoons full about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees or til light brown. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from sheets, cool on wire racks.
