     French Toast Casserole

Ingredients
1 loaf French bread (cut into 1 inch slices)
1 8 oz cream cheese, cubed (or 12 oz tub of spreadable cream cheese)
1 dozen eggs
1 pt Half & Half
3 Tblsp sugar
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp cinnamon
 
2 tsp melted butter
Syrup or Powdered sugar

Instructions
Grease 9x13 pan. Put a layer of French bread on bottom of pan. Scatter chunks of cream cheese over layer of bread (spread it on as much as possible.) Then layer again with bread.
Beat together all other ingredients (except syrup or powdered sugar) and pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Uncover and bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Serve warm with syrup or powdered sugar.
