Ingredients
2 C flour
3 t baking powder
1/2 t creme of tartar
1 t salt
1/3 crisco, butter flavor
3/4 c milk
 

Instructions
In bowl, combine flour, baking powder, creme of tartar and salt. Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk, stir till blended.
Transfer dough to lightly floured surface. Knead lightly, 8 to 10 times. Roll dough to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with floured cutter. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 12 biscuits.
