Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
4 eggs
1 one pound can chocolate syrup
1 cup and 1 heaping Tbl flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Frosting-
1 1/2 cups sugar
 
6 Tbl butter
6 Tbl milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat until light. Add syrup, flour, salt and nuts. Spread in a greased 11x15 pan.
Bake 20-25 minutes at 350. Cool and Frost.
For frosting, cook and stir sugar, butter and milk in saucepan util it boils; boil at rolling boil for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and beat until creamy. frosting sets up quickly.
The recipe is correct! the oly leavening is the salt.
