     Sweet Potato Casserole

Ingredients
2 cans (1lb 2oz each) yams or sweet potatoes drained
1 can (8 ½ oz) crushed pineapple
½ cup melted butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
TOPPING-
½ cup coarsely chopped pecans
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice yams to ½ inch pieces. Combine with pineapple, butter and cinnamon in 2 quart casserole.
Bake for 20-30 minutes or until hot. Sprinkle pecans and brown sugar over top of casserole. Continue baking until brown sugar has melted.

Serving Suggestions
Author suggests to use fresh, steamed sweet potatoes.
