     Italian Crock Pot Meat Sauce

Ingredients
1 and 1/2 lbs browned ground beef
8 oz or 1/2 package mild ground Italian sausage, browned
8 Roma tomotoes, finely diced
1 package fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large yellow onion, finely diced
1 large green pepper, diced
1 large red pepper, diced
1 6-oz can tomato paste
1 15-oz can tomato puree
 
2 to 3 8-oz cans tomato sauce
1 cup red wine
1 and 1/2 tsp minced garlic
2 tsps dried Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 bay leaf

Instructions
Brown ground beef and sausage together.
Combine remainder of ingredients in Crock Pot. Add browned meat and cover. Cook on LOW for 8-10 hours.
Remove bay leaf and disgard.
Serve with pasta and shredded parmesean or asiago cheese.
