Ingredients
Chop 1 cup hazelnuts and set aside
Heat oven to 350
Mix together 1 2/3 c flour, 1/2 t baking soda, 1/2 t salt,
3/4 c sugar, chopped nuts
In another bowl mic 2 large eggs, 2 t hazelnut
liquor or brandy, 1 t vanilla.
 

Instructions
Split the dough into tywo equal amounts and shape logs about 12 inches long on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake for 35 minutes. Coool for 10 minutes, then cut in 1/2 inch slices.
Baske slices on a cooling rack set right on the oven rack for 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned and crisp.
For orange chocolate flavor add 1/4 c cocoa and 1 1/2 t orange zest to the dry ingredients and use Grand Marinar instead f hazelnut liquor. Will keep in air tight container for about 1 month.
Serving Suggestions
Tough to chew but easy to love. Great dunkers.
