Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream the banana, butter, shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Add the dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. Spoon onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes, until golden brown.
