     Sourdough Fry Bread Redipe

Ingredients
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups flour
3/4 cup water
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup sourdough starter
 

Instructions
In medium bowl, ix salt, baking powder, and flour. Mix in oil and water. Mix ingredients for approximately 30 seconds, then add sourdough starter. Form dough into a ball. Set on lightly floured board. Knead for approximately 5 minutes. Fill a large frying pan or dutch oven with 3/4 inch of oil. Get the temperature to about 425 degrees. Pull of a golf ball size piece, shape into a ball, and flatten into a pancake shape. Poke a hole in the center of the flattened dough. Add dough to hot oil and fry for about 10-15 seconds on each side or until golden brown. Remove to paper towel to drain excess oil.
