Sprinkle yeast in warm water. Stir in sugar, set aside. Combine cottage cheese, onion, dill weed, baking powder, salt, egg, and 1 tbsp sugar. Mix well. Add yeast and mix well. Add flour to make stiff dough. Knead on a slightly floured board. Let rise until double in bulk, bunch down. Knead a few times. Form into loaf, put in just started oven and it will rise enough so it will bake in about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees.
