     Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
6 med potatoes
3 T butter or margerine
3 T flour
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1 good sized onion
2 1/2 c milk
 

Instructions
Make a rue with the flour and butter. Allow the flour to ook for a few min. Keep the heat low as you do not want it to brown
Slowly start adding the cold milk and stiring to work out any lumps between additions. Stir in salt and pepper
Into a greased 2 quart casserole dish layer starting with potatoes then onions then some milk mixture more potatoes and onion then a final layer of the sauce.
Bake at 350 for 60 to 70 min covered.You an top with cheese if you like the last 15 min or so of cooking. The last 15 min you shoud uncover and let brown a little. May have to turn on the broiler to brown.
