build a campfire. core apples and fill the core of each apple with 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. wrap each apple completely in a large piece of aluminum foil, twisting each piece at the top to make a handle.
place wrapped apples directly in the coals of the campfire and cook 5-10 minutes, until softened.using long tongs, remove apples from fire.using a hot pad or oven mitt, slowly unwrap apples,being careful not to spill the hot sugar. eat with a fork.
