     Cheddar Chowder

Ingredients
1 cup corn
2 cups boiling water
2 cups diced potatoes
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup celery
1/4 cup diced onion
3 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
 
1/4 cup flour
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheese
1 cup ham (optional)

Instructions
Combine water, potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Do not drain.
Combine butter, flour and milk and bring to boil as a sauce. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add to potato mixture.
Add ham and corn. Heat, do not boil.
Serving Suggestions
Replace ham with bacon
