     Pecan Sour Cream Sandies

1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup margarine
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1/3 cup sour cream
2 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla

Grind Pecans, Combine nuts with flour and baking powder. In separate bowl beat margarine and shortening with mixer for 30 seconds. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, sour cream and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Stir in flour, baking powder, and nuts. Cover dough and chill at least 3 hours. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll 1 inch doughballs in sugar. Flatten with a glass. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake 7-8 minutes or until done. Remove from sheet and cool on rack.
