In a large mixing bowl combine first five ingredients. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk all at once. Stir just until dough sticks together. On a lightly floured surface knead 10-12 strokes. Be sure not to knead too much, this will cause the dough to become tough. Roll or pat out to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with lightly floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden
