     Braised Red Cabbage

Ingredients
1/2 red cabbage, sliced
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
2 granny smith (green) apples, shredded
3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp honey
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp fresh sage, chopped
1/4 tsp carraway seeds (to taste, if you want)
olive oil
 

Instructions
Heat oil in a large skillet or dutch oven with a lid, add red onion saute until soft. Add remaining ingredients and cook, covered but stirring occasionally, about an hour until the cabbage is tender but not mushy.
