     Beer Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
8- 9 medium potatoes
2 onions sliced in rings
salt and pepper
1/4 c butter
2 T flour
2 cups warm milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 c beer
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F . Using a 9x11 oven safe dish. Slice potatoes, slice onions. On medium heat in sauce pan add butter let it melt and then add flour. Stir and slowly add warm milk. Should eventually become a thick white sauce. Add shredded cheese and let melt. Remove from heat and add the beer.
In the oven safe pan, place 1/2 the potatoes and then layer 1/2 the onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Repeat again. Lastly pour cheese mixture over the potatoes evenly. Bake for 1 hour.
