     Catherine's Semi-homemade Cheesecake

Ingredients
Box of Jell-O or any other box cheesecake
Milk (Amount as directed on the box, but you can cut back a little on the milk)
Butter (Amount as directed on the box)
Sugar (Amount as directed on the box)
Cream cheese block (softened)
1/4 cup Sour cream (optional)
Capful of real vanilla
Cool whip 3/4 of a container (softened)
Pineapple or any fruit you like
 

Instructions
Make the crust as directed on the box
The filling is where I semi-homemade it
Mix with a hand mixer the cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla, milk and box mix (If you use pineapple, pour a little juice from the can). Once everything is well mixed (it will have lumps) fold in the cool whip with a spatula then pour over crust, let chill (top with fruit) and enjoy.
use a 9x11 baking dish rather tan the 9 inch pie plate the box says to use. Once you add the extra ingredients, it would not fit in one pie plate.
