     Cranberry Almond Trail Mix

Ingredients
1 six oz package whole almonds
1 fifteen oz bag small pretzels
1 six oz package dried cranberries
2 egg whites
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp salt
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread almonds on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes until toasted (watch carefully). Cool on pan. Reduce temperature to 225 degrees. In large bowl, combine pretzels, almonds, and cranberries. In a small bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
In another small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Pour beaten egg whites over pretzel mixture and toss until well coated. Sprinkle with sugar mixture and stir until combined and well coated.
Spread on greased baking sheet (I use a 10x15 jelly roll pan). Bake for 1 hour at 225 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
