Ingredients
1 quart milk
1/4 cup sugar
dash of salt
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
 

Instructions
Scald milk in double boiler. Blend sugar, salt and beaten eggs. Pour a little amount of milk in the egg mixture. Then pour both in the double boiler. Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens enough to coat spoon. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Strain to remove lumps and chill or pour in cooked pie crust.
