3-4 lb. rump roast
|

4 slices bacon
|
|
1 onion, sliced
|

12 oz. beer
|

3 1/2 cups water
|
|
2 tbsps. cider vinegar
|

1 tbsp, brown sugar
|
|
Salt to taste

6 pepper corns
|

Instructions |
|
|
Fry bacon, remove from pan. Fry slices onion, remove from pan.
|
|
|
Dredge meat in flour and brown, remove from pan. Replace bacon
and onion placing meat on top.
|
|
|
Add remaining ingredients and
simmer slowly for 3 hours.
|
|
|
We put the spices into a tea leaf strainer for easy removal later.
