     Strawberry Shortcake

8 cups fresh strawberries
1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp sugar
12 oz buttermilk biscuits (Pillsbury Homestyle)
8 oz whipped cream

Wash and hull strawberries, then slice and put in large bowl. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup of sugar. Toss and set aside.
Place biscuits on baking sheet, sprinkle tops with remaining sugar and bake according to biscuit package directions
Let cool for 3-5 minutes, the slice biscuits in half. Place bottom half of each biscuit on place and spray on whipped cream.
Spoon on strawberries and place other half of biscuit on top
Serving Suggestions
Leave off the top and double your serving size
