     Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
1 and 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
mixture of sugar and cinnamon
 

Instructions
In a small bowl mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. In medium bowl cream butter and sugar together. Beat in egg until blended.
Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Chill - if necessary - until firm.
Form into balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in 400 degrees until bottoms are golden - 10 minutes. (Speed bake for 7 minutes.)
