Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir well. Microwave on high 3 minutes - stir after each minute. Add vanilla and baking soda. Stir well.
Pour over popcorn. Stir well to coat. Microwave popcorn on high 2 minutes - stirring after each minute. Microwave 1 minute stirring after 30 seconds.
Turn out onto waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container.
