     Green Beans with Almond Slivers

Ingredients
2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed OR 4 - 9 oz pkgs frozen whole green beans
6 cloves garlic, thinkly sliced
6 tablespoons butter
1 1/3 cups slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
 

Instructions
In a dutch oven, cook green beasn, covered. In a small amount of boiling salted water for 10 - 15 minutes or until crips-tender; drain and return to dutch oven.
Meanwhile, in a medium skillet, cook garlic in hot butter over medium hear until tender and lightly golden. Add to green beans along with almonds, lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Toss to combine.
Serving Suggestions
I think the butter is heavy, suggest using less butter, 1/2 or less. Toast almonds in over for a few minutes.
