Cream butter and sugar, mix remaining ingredients except the eggs and flour. Combine until just moistened. Then beat for 2 minutes. Add eggs and flour and beat for another 2 minutes.
Grease and flour 2 cake pans or 1 bundt pan.
Banana Butter Icing ( sweet can be halved)
1/2 cup butter
4 cups of icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup of mashed banana
1 tbsp lemon juice
Beat until smooth, pour over cooled cake.
