     Caramel Nut Sauce

Servings   1 1/2 cups

Ingredients
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 Tbs. margarine
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 cup walnuts or pecans, toasted and chopped
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp. vanilla
 

Instructions
Melt sugar, syrup, margarine and salt over medium heat, remove from heat.
Add nuts, cream and vanilla
Serving Suggestions
Good with whipped cream and fudge sauce over poached pears
