Category   Salads - Soups - Sidedishes
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
oil
3 onions
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 kil ground meat
3 eggs
salt
garlic powder
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup uncooked rice

3/4 cup water
1 head cabbage
7 tomato pastes
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
handful of raisins (optional)

Instructions
Chop up cabbage into strips and place in a large bowl, pour boiling water and add salt. Let soak.
In a large pot add 2 of the 3 onions sliced and saute with brown sugar. When onions are done, remove from pot and place in a small bowl. While onions are sauteing, in a large bowl dice 1 onion, and add to meat, then add eggs, salt, garlic powder, bread crumbs, rice, and water. Let stand
In a large pot pour all the tomato pastes. After emptying each one, refill the container with water and add that to the pot. Then add 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, handful of raisins (optional), 1 tsp lemon juice. Let mixture come to a boil, then take 1/2 cup of sauce and add to the meat mixture.
Remove sauce from large pot and place in large bowl. Drain the cabbage. Add the sauteed onions back to the large pot, then layer a handful cabbage on top, followed by meatballs, then cabbage, then meatballs, and when all the layers are done, pour the liquid on top and let it boil for 45 minutes
