Cream butter and sugar together, adding and beating eggs one at a time.

Sift dry ingredients together.
|

|
In a separate bowl- add some of the flour mixture and then butter/egg mixture blending together ending with the flour mixture. Add 3 Tbs. lemon juice and the zest of a lemon. Bake at 300 in a greased/floured tube pan for 50 minutes ( may take a bit longer).

Glaze with 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 3 Tbs. lemon juice. Decorate with lemon zest.
