     Bread and Butter Pickles

Ingredients
4 quart cucumbers and onions sliced 1/8 inch thick
1 quart water 1/2 c pickling salt
Mix together and let stand overnight in fridge
Drain and wash off salt with cold water
Sauce-
2 1/2 c vinegar
2 1/2 c brown sugar
2 tsp tumeric
1 tsp mustard seed
 
Instructions
Bring sauce to boil and boil for a few min. Add cukes and onions. Bring to boil and bottle hot into sterilized jars.
