Combine all ingredients, except baking soda and popcorn, in a 1 1/2 - 2 quart dish or pan. Bring to a boil and cook on FULL POWER of microwave for 2 minutes.
Remove from microwave and stir in baking soda. Put popped popcorn into brown grocery bag. Pour syrup over popcorn in bag. Close bag and shake.
Cook on HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake and cook another 1 1/2 minutes. Pour into pan and cool.
