Cut meat into cubes. Peel & slice 2 onions
Heat butter in dutch oven. Fry meat till brown on all sides. Add onions and continue frying. Add enough water to cover meat, bay leaves, dill & salt & Pepper.Cover and simmer for 2 hours till meat is tender
Peel & cut potatoes into pieces. Clean & slice carrots. Peel and slice remaining onions. Cook all the veggies in a pan of water til tender.
Drain veggies and mash. Add the meat and some of the gravy from the meat to the veggies and mix well. Season to taste and serve the remaining gravy separetely.
