     Shoo-fly Pie

Ingredients
CRUMBS-
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
JUICE-
 
1 cup molasses
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
Mix all ingredients of crumb mixture until crumbs are about the size of peas. Set aside 3/4 cup of crumbs.
Mix ingredients of juice mixture with remaining crumbs and pour into two 9-inch pie shells. Add 3/4 cup of crumbs to tops.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes until done when tested with toothpick.
